Ben Rhydding Community Fete

Ben Rhydding Community Fete...

Ben Rhydding Community Fete, planned for 20th June 2020 has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

If circumstances allow, the Fete Committee hopes to organise a community event of some kind towards the end of September this year. If this is not feasible, the next Fete will be held on Saturday, 19th June 2021. Please check the Fete website and social media channels for updates. We are sure that the community spirit that we celebrate each year and which enables us to organise the Fete thanks to a wonderful voluntary community team effort, will be very much in evidence in the coming weeks and months.

Ben Rhydding Community Fête is run by the community, for the community. Local groups, clubs, Scouts and Guides, churches, school , charities etc. provide the mix of entertainment, stalls, refreshments, music, games and attractions. Any surplus funds raised by the fete committee are distributed to local groups / charities or used to enhance Ben Rhydding.

The first fete was held in June 2006. It grew from a desire to provide a new opportunity for the community to get together, have some fun and celebrate life in Ben Rhydding. (The only pub, The Wheatley Hotel, had been closed since 2002 and ‘Save Us Pub’ were fighting hard to have it re-opened).
