The event has been running for nearly forty years and is thoroughly enjoyed by our older residents. It is a stand-out event for our charity and needs careful and attentive organisation.

The party is held at the Clarke Foley Centre, where we provide a lovely Afternoon Tea and entertainment for over one hundred guests, with music, a raffle, and a grand finale of community singing of old favourites led by Shirley Britton, our perennial favourite performer, who has been singing for us since the party began!

Approximately forty volunteers come and help with the running of the day from all around the area, including the Air Cadets and Ilkley Grammar School.  We also are delighted to welcome a Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, the Lord Mayor, Ilkley Town Mayor, and other dignitaries from the area.
