- The Evergreens is an informal group of walkers, not a club or organisation.
- Just come when you can.
- There is a choice every Tuesday between two walks of different levels of difficulty.
- Two groups: The Eights do 7-9 miles; The Tens do 9-12 miles (and more ascent).
- Move freely between the two groups whenever you want to.
- A library of nearly 350 diverse walks within 30 miles of Ilkley.
- Enjoy wonderful scenery and friendly company.
- Explore The Dales, South Pennines, Forest of Bowland and more.
- Walkers drawn from Ilkley, Addingham, Burley, Keighley, Skipton, Guiseley.
- Experienced walkers and capable leaders - novices welcome.
- Meet in Ilkley or drive straight to the starting point.
- Car sharing possible from Ilkley, Addingham and Skipton each week.
- A programme with details of the weekly walks published every four months.
- A map and profile of each route distributed by email every week.
- A slide show and a lunch each year.
- Occasional coach trips, train trips and holidays.
- Not a club so no subscription - just contribute to petrol costs when you are a car-sharing passenger.
- Just one rule - no dogs, please!
- Those joining the group must be capable of looking after themselves.
- Individual walkers are personally responsible for their own safety and well-being, walking entirely at their own risk.
- Individuals must decide for themselves if the walk they choose to do is within their capabilities.
- Neither the walk leader nor the other walkers in the group will be liable or accept liability for any injury, loss or damage.
