Angling: Ilkley Angling Association
www.ilkleyanglingassociation.co.uk
Ilkley Angling Asociation control the angling rights on both banks of the River Wharfe at Ilkley, from the old packhorse bridge downstream to the stepping stones at Ben Rhydding. This is excellent water for angling for wild brown trout and grayling. Both these species are prolific and grow to good sizes. It is ideal water for fly fishing and for floatfishing with easy wading and bank fishing in many places. Free parking is available close to the river at many places, such as adjacent to the Riverside Hotel.
We also control the fishing rights on two coarse fishing ponds just to the east of Ben Rhydding. Our pond behind the Moss & Moor garden centre is a little oasis and is a great place to relax and fish through the warmer months of the year.
Inexpensive annual and day memberships are available - see our website for prices and how to join.
