Description: I am an academic by training (First Class B.A.(Hons), in French & Spanish, Ph.D., Leeds University) but began working as a professional freelance translator and interpreter in 1994. I have translated texts from French into English (and from English into French) in the following contexts: legal, commercial, medical, cultural, and social.
As an interpreter, I have worked in commerical and artistic settings, but now mainly work with asylum seekers in legal, health (medical, counselling), and social-care settings.
